Sindh Declares Public Holiday on February 5 for Kashmir Solidarity Day

The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on February 5, 2025, to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day. A notification issued by the Sindh Services General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD) on Friday confirmed that all government and semi-government offices will remain closed on this day.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed annually to express support for the Kashmiri people and their right to self-determination. Across Pakistan, rallies, seminars, and special events are held to highlight the struggle of Kashmiris.

The provincial government’s decision aligns with the national stance on Kashmir, emphasizing Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri cause. Civil society organizations and political leaders have welcomed the announcement, calling it a symbol of Pakistan’s commitment to Kashmir.

As February 5 approaches, various activities are being planned in Sindh and other provinces to honor the resilience of the Kashmiri people and raise awareness about their ongoing struggle.
