Shah Rukh Khan Marks His Birthday with a Life-Changing Decision, Quits Smoking
On his birthday, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan delighted fans with an unexpected revelation: he has officially quit smoking. The announcement came during a meet-and-greet event where SRK, who previously admitted to smoking up to 100 cigarettes a day, shared his journey toward a healthier lifestyle.
In a heartfelt moment captured by the fan page Shah Rukh Khan Universe, the actor joyfully announced to an enthusiastic crowd, “There’s a good thing – I’m not smoking anymore, guys.” Khan humorously reflected on the challenges of quitting, noting that while he hoped to feel less breathless, he was still adjusting to the change. “Mujhe laga tha ki I will not feel so breathless, but abhi bhi feel kar raha hoon (I thought I wouldn’t feel breathless after quitting smoking, but I still do),” he said, expressing optimism that he would soon overcome this adjustment.
In addition to his health announcement, SRK was showered with love from family and friends on his special day. His daughter, Suhana Khan, shared a nostalgic photo collage on social media, showcasing black-and-white pictures of SRK playing with his children, captioning one of the images, “Happy Birthday (heart emoji). Love you the most in the world.” Meanwhile, his wife, Gauri Khan, posted a glimpse of their birthday celebration, featuring a heartwarming photo of Shah Rukh cutting his birthday cake surrounded by loved ones.
The Bollywood fraternity also joined in the celebration, with several celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Kamal Haasan, Farah Khan, and Vicky Kaushal, extending warm birthday wishes to the beloved actor as he turns 59.
