Security forces carried out a targeted intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar between the night of September 14 and 15, killing five terrorists linked with banned Baloch terror groups, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Wednesday.

According to ISPR, the operation followed credible intelligence about the presence of militants, also referred to as Fitna-ul-Hindustan, in the area. A fierce exchange of fire led to the killing of five terrorists.

Security forces also recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from the slain militants, which were reportedly meant for future terror attacks in the region.

ISPR further stated that the terrorists were involved in multiple previous attacks in Khuzdar and surrounding areas. After the encounter, a clearance operation was launched to ensure no further threats remain, while security forces continue to comb the area for any remaining militants.
