Saudi Arabia Provides $90 Million Grant to Strengthen Palestinian Treasury
Saudi Arabia has announced a new financial grant of $90 million to support the Palestinian treasury, reinforcing its continued commitment to assisting the Palestinian Authority during the year 2025.
The funds were received in Amman during a meeting at the Saudi Embassy, where Palestinian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Stephane Salameh, met with Saudi Ambassador to Jordan and non-resident Commissioner to the State of Palestine, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud.
According to Palestinian officials, the financial assistance comes at a time when the Palestinian Authority is facing severe economic pressures and budgetary challenges. Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh said the Saudi grant would play a vital role in strengthening financial stability and supporting essential government functions. He praised Saudi Arabia’s “firm and longstanding commitment” to the rights of the Palestinian people.
Ambassador Prince Mansour bin Khalid reiterated Saudi Arabia’s historic and unwavering stand in support of the Palestinian cause, including the right to an independent state. He added that the grant would help the Palestinian government fulfill its responsibilities and improve public services, particularly in critical sectors such as health and education.
The financial aid is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader policy of backing Palestinian institutions and supporting their resilience during challenging times.
