Saudi Arabia, China Welcome Gaza Ceasefire Agreement as Egypt Confirms Implementation

Saudi Arabia has welcomed the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, expressing appreciation for the mediation efforts that led to the breakthrough.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom values the contributions of US President Donald Trump and other countries involved in facilitating the truce. The ministry praised their efforts in helping to establish a long-awaited step toward peace in Gaza.

Meanwhile, China also extended its support for the ceasefire, expressing hope that it would evolve into a permanent and comprehensive peace in the region. The Chinese Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to working with the international community for a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.

In addition, Egyptian media confirmed that the ceasefire agreement has officially come into effect. Developments in Sharm el-Sheikh are being described as a major turning point in the conflict. Egypt’s Foreign Minister is expected to attend a ministerial meeting on Gaza to further discuss post-ceasefire arrangements.

According to Israeli officials, around 20 Israeli hostages are expected to be released from Gaza in the coming days. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi declared the agreement a historic moment, marking the end of two years of suffering and the beginning of renewed hope for peace.
