Former Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has reached a new milestone in his illustrious career by claiming the No.1 spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Batter Rankings for the first time ever.

Rohit’s rise comes after his unbeaten century against Australia in Sydney, where he smashed 13 fours and 3 sixes during his 33rd ODI hundred, leading India to a nine-wicket victory alongside *Virat Kohli (74)**.

This performance lifted him two places up, overtaking Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran and teammate Shubman Gill, while Pakistan’s Babar Azam slipped to fourth position — marking a significant reshuffle among the world’s top ODI batters.

In the bowling department, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to dominate the ODI Bowling Rankings, while India’s Axar Patel made big gains, climbing to 31st among bowlers and eighth among all-rounders.

For Pakistan, Shan Masood improved his Test ranking, moving up five places to 42nd, but Mohammad Rizwan dropped five spots to 21st. Among bowlers, Noman Ali slipped from second to third, as India’s Jasprit Bumrah reclaimed the top Test spot.

In T20Is, South Africa’s Corbin Bosch surged 40 places to 53rd, and Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz rose to sixth among all-rounders. Young opener Saim Ayub also made progress, climbing to 49th among T20I batters.

The update reflects a dynamic shift across all formats, with players from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and South Africa making major moves in the latest ICC rankings.
