Rising Flood Threats, CM Maryam Nawaz Issues Urgent Appeal
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued an urgent appeal to citizens in flood-affected areas, urging them to immediately relocate to safer locations. In her statement, she emphasized that residents must cooperate with district authorities and rescue services to prevent any loss of life.
The Chief Minister assured that the Punjab government’s top priority is the safety of its people. She added that transparent assessments are being carried out to calculate damages to homes, crops, and livestock, and that rightful compensation will be delivered to all affected citizens. Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed that the government stands with every flood victim and all possible resources are being utilized to ensure relief and rehabilitation.
