In response to the anticipated protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the district administration of Rawalpindi has taken stringent measures, sealing off crucial areas of the city. According to Express News, the administration has set up containers to block access to key locations, particularly around Liaquat Bagh, effectively closing the city to traffic.

The heavy police presence, comprising thousands of officers, has been deployed at various locations throughout the city to maintain order. Section 144 has been imposed across Rawalpindi, prohibiting any gatherings, demonstrations, or the display of weapons.

In addition to the ground closures, metro bus services have been partially suspended, causing further disruption to daily commuting for residents. Key intersections, including Faizabad, Murree Road, and various chokers such as Liaquat Bagh and Asghar Mall, have been completely sealed off.

Small alleyways leading onto Murree Road are also blocked with barbed wire, and government offices located in Liaquat Bagh have been closed. Educational institutions along Liaquat Road and Iqbal Road are shut down, and all hotels in the vicinity have been ordered to vacate guests.

Morning walks in Liaquat Bagh have been prohibited, and ambulances are restricted from accessing hospitals on Murree Road. The situation has led to significant inconvenience for the public as law enforcement agencies take necessary precautions ahead of the protest.
