Rawalpindi Couple Busted in Million-Rupee Honey Trap Blackmail Case

Rawalpindi Police have arrested two individuals, Raheel and Urooj, for operating a sinister “honey trap” scheme involving extortion and cybercrime.
According to the FIR, the female suspect lured a government employee to her home, where the duo recorded a compromising video. The complainant was initially forced to pay Rs200,000 for his release. The suspects then continued to blackmail him and extracted an additional Rs510,000.
When the victim refused to pay further, the blackmailers sent the video to his friends — and allegedly trapped them in similar ways, extorting another Rs410,000. A case has been filed under Section 21 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), and police are continuing investigations to identify more victims.
Authorities warn the public to stay vigilant about cyber entrapment and report suspicious activity immediately.
