Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Arrested in Dubai on Defamation Complaint, Denies Allegations

Popular Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was arrested at Dubai International Airport on Monday, according to a report by Geo News. The arrest was made over a defamation complaint filed by Khan’s former manager, Salman Ahmed.

Khan had arrived in Dubai from Lahore for an event when he was apprehended at the airport’s immigration center and subsequently taken to Burj Dubai police station for questioning. However, Khan swiftly denied the reports of his arrest, posting a video on social media labeling the news as ‘fake and baseless.’

“News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards, Team RFAK,” read the tweet from his official account.

This incident is the latest development in the ongoing tensions between Khan and Ahmed, who has previously filed legal cases against the singer. Sources suggest that Ahmed was dismissed by Khan a few months ago following a dispute.
