Quetta Suicide Blast at FC Headquarters Leaves 10 Dead, 30 Injured; 6 Terrorists Killed

A suicide bombing rocked Quetta’s Model Town on Khujak Road, targeting the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters. According to initial reports, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the main gate, causing a massive explosion that shattered windows and damaged nearby vehicles.
The blast left 10 civilians dead and more than 30 injured, including 2 security personnel and 4 women. Security forces responded swiftly, engaging the attackers and killing 6 terrorists, including the suicide bomber, preventing their entry into the headquarters.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the bravery of FC personnel, saying they foiled the “Fitna-e-Hindustan” plot and sent the attackers to hell. He prayed for the quick recovery of the wounded soldiers.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the “cowardly act,” stressing it was aimed at destabilizing peace. He announced financial aid for the martyrs’ families and free treatment for the injured.
Following the attack, Quetta city has been placed under high alert, with FC and police cordoning off the area. Investigations are underway to identify the attackers and their network, suspected to be linked with local militant groups.
