Punjab Health Minister Vows No Compromise on Hospital Revamping Quality

Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring high standards of quality and transparency in ongoing hospital revamping projects. Speaking at a meeting of the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, the minister stressed that the government would not compromise on these essential aspects while improving healthcare facilities across Multan.

Among the hospitals being upgraded are Nishtar Hospital Multan, Children’s Hospital Multan, and the Multan Institute of Cardiology. Contractors have been directed to accelerate the work by operating in two shifts to ensure that the projects are completed on time. Key areas under revamping include the emergency wards, OPD, and indoor facilities in these institutions.

Khawaja Salman emphasized that the revamping of these hospitals remains a priority for the provincial government. He has instructed officials to monitor the progress closely to avoid delays and maintain the highest standards of service delivery. Special Secretary Development Wajid Ali and Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, along with other key officials, attended the meeting.
