PTI to Form New Political Party Amid Legal, Electoral Challenges

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to form a new political party as part of a major restructuring move aimed at overcoming legal challenges and ensuring electoral independence.

According to party insiders, the new entity will be registered separately with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) but will operate in close coordination with PTI during upcoming elections.

Sources confirmed that the proposed names for the new party include “Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan” and “Insaf Pakistan.” The leadership is currently finalizing which name best reflects continuity with PTI’s ideology while establishing an independent organizational identity.

PTI founder Imran Khan has reportedly endorsed the idea of forming a new party, viewing it as a safeguard against future political or legal obstacles.

The new political entity will have its own chairman and independent structure, distinct from PTI’s existing framework. Preparations are underway to meet constitutional and membership requirements, including the submission of 1,000 verified member records to the ECP.

Party officials stated that both PTI and the new party will contest elections jointly to prevent dependency on smaller or weaker political alliances, a problem faced in the past.

“The idea is to maintain political autonomy and continuity even if PTI faces legal restrictions,” a senior PTI insider revealed.

The registration process for the new party is expected to begin in the coming weeks, signaling a significant strategic shift in Pakistan’s political landscape ahead of the next general elections.
