PTI Rejects Power Sharing, Fresh Elections Possible, Barrister Gohar

Addressing the “Supremacy of the Constitution” conference organized by the Opposition Grand Alliance in Islamabad, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that PTI does not believe in power-sharing and fresh elections may be conducted considering the current political situation.
He remarked that the establishment exists not only in Pakistan but also in other countries, but due to the weakness of political forces in Pakistan, the establishment has become stronger.
Barrister Gohar further emphasized that PTI is the largest political party and has not made any compromises. He clarified that there was no agreement between PTI and Maulana Fazlur Rehman regarding the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
He also said that Imran Khan is in jail because he refused to compromise and that PTI was not even allowed to hold election rallies. With over 175 political parties in Pakistan, he stressed that while the constitution mandates a five-year government tenure, fresh elections may be necessary due to the country’s current conditions.
