On Saturday, senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) met with the party’s founder, Imran Khan, at Adiala Jail to discuss the constitutional amendments proposed by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government. Barrister Gohar, PTI’s Chairman, addressed the media after the meeting and confirmed that the consultation with Khan had been fruitful, adding that further discussions would follow to finalize the party’s stance.

When asked if Imran Khan had given his approval to the proposed amendments, Gohar refrained from giving a clear answer, stating that additional consultations with other political figures, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, would take place before any formal decision is announced.

Gohar reassured the media about Khan’s well-being, putting to rest concerns about the former prime minister’s health. He further mentioned that the meeting demonstrated a strong, united front among PTI leaders, especially after all five party leaders were granted permission to meet Khan collectively.

This meeting marks a critical moment as PTI strategizes its next steps in response to the government’s proposed constitutional changes, which could have a significant impact on Pakistan’s political landscape.
