PTI, govt speed up contacts with Jamaat-e-Islami for strategic alliances

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the government have separately accelerated their contacts with the Jamaat-e-Islami, as former president Dr Arif Alvi is scheduled to meet with the Jamaat leadership today in Mansoora.

Reportedly, a government delegation is also scheduled to meet with JI leaders in the next 48 hours.

The PTI has established contacts with the JI leadership once again as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen alliances against the government. The visit by PTI senior leader Alvi highlights the party’s intent to align with the Jamaat-e-Islami to counter the government’s policies. The meeting is expected to focus on discussing a collaborative approach to address shared concerns and to strategize potential actions.

On the other hand, the federal government has also decided to meet with the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami. According to sources, a delegation will meet the JI leadership in Mansoora within the next two to three days.

The concurrent meetings by both PTI and the federal government with Jamaat-e-Islami signify the party’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s current political dynamics.
