PTI Delegation Appeals to Akhtar Mengal to Reconsider Resignation Amid Political Uncertainty
A delegation from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), led by Opposition Leader Omar Ayub and senior party member Asad Qaiser, met with Sardar Akhtar Mengal, the leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), at the Parliament Lodges. The PTI leaders requested Mengal to reconsider his resignation, stressing the importance of his role in the current political scenario.
The delegation, which also included Sahibzada Hamid Raza of the Sunni Ittehad Council, along with Raoof Hassan and Aamir Dogar, emphasized the need for unity and stability in the parliament. Despite their efforts, sources revealed that Sardar Akhtar Mengal stood firm on his decision, refusing to withdraw his resignation.
Following the meeting, the PTI delegation left without securing the desired outcome. In a related development, a delegation from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also arrived at the Parliament Lodges, attempting to persuade Mengal to reconsider his resignation, signaling the significance of his stance in the broader political equation.
