PTI Boycotts Parliamentary National Security Committee Meeting

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has officially boycotted the Parliamentary National Security Committee meeting, with PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja confirming that no PTI representative will attend. However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will participate in his official capacity, rather than as a PTI representative.
Opposition Leader Omar Ayub expressed his concerns over the sudden meeting call, stating that PTI’s founder is not being allowed to participate or even meet his party members. “We are not in favor of any operation, and we have decided not to attend the meeting,” said Salman Akram Raja.
Sahibzada Hamid Raza reiterated that moving forward without consulting PTI’s founder is not an option. He insisted that the government must ensure transparency in national security discussions and consider alternative solutions like negotiations.
MNA Mahmood Khan Achakzai also weighed in, criticizing the state of affairs, stating that Pakistan is going through a highly critical phase, and Parliament must take all stakeholders into confidence.
With PTI’s boycott, the political climate remains tense as the government moves forward with critical security discussions.
