Princess Kate Makes First Public Appearance After Completing Chemotherapy

Kate, the Princess of Wales, made her first public appearance on Sunday after completing chemotherapy treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. She attended church alongside her husband, Prince William, and senior members of the royal family, including King Charles III and Queen Camilla, near their Balmoral estate in Scotland.

Kate, 42, had stepped away from most of her public duties during her treatment, first announcing her diagnosis earlier this year. On September 9, she shared that she had completed chemotherapy but emphasized that her recovery journey would continue, and she would resume some of her royal duties gradually.

In her announcement video, Kate expressed gratitude for the support she had received and noted that she would be taking things “day by day.” The Princess has planned limited engagements through the remainder of the year as she focuses on her health and full recovery.

Despite her reduced public appearances, Kate still managed to attend two key royal events this year—Trooping the Colour in June and the Wimbledon men’s final in July, where she received an overwhelming standing ovation.
