US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that he helped stop eight wars around the world, expressing disappointment that he has not received the Nobel Peace Prize.

According to an international news report, Trump made the remarks while addressing a rally in Florida. He claimed that he had helped halt several conflicts and said tariffs and trade pressure played a role in stopping five of the wars.

Referring to tensions between Pakistan and India, Trump said he had intervened to prevent a conflict between the two nuclear-armed countries. He claimed that he warned both sides that the United States would impose heavy tariffs and restrict trade if the fighting continued.

Trump described his claimed role in stopping wars as a source of pride and said the United Nations had not helped him achieve these outcomes. He again questioned why he had not received the Nobel Peace Prize.

The US president also spoke about Iran and Cuba, saying that Cuba would be addressed after the Iran issue. He suggested that Secretary of State Marco Rubio could be sent to finalise a deal.

Trump also made claims about oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, saying the United States was obtaining oil from the waterway on its own terms.

Trump has repeatedly highlighted what he describes as his role in resolving international conflicts and has argued that his efforts merit recognition. However, his claims about the number of wars stopped and the role of US trade pressure should be assessed against the evidence and accounts of the parties involved.
