PML-N Leads with 110 Seats as PTI Members Join Sunni Ittehad Council in Major Political Shift

The latest party positions in Pakistan’s National Assembly have revealed a major political shift, with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leading the assembly with 110 seats. In a significant turn of events, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), once a dominant force, has effectively ceased to exist in the assembly. All 80 of PTI’s members have now been officially recognized as part of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), marking the end of PTI’s presence in the National Assembly.

This new political alignment has reshaped the assembly’s landscape, with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) holding 69 seats, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan controlling 22 seats, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) retaining eight seats. Other smaller parties and independent members contribute to the new distribution.

With the dissolution of PTI’s presence, SIC emerges as a significant player, and the shifting dynamics raise important questions about the future of Pakistani politics. Could this be the beginning of a new political era for Pakistan?
