PM Shehbaz Vows to Crush Terrorism, Urges National Unity in the Fight for Peace
In a bold and unwavering declaration, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged a decisive blow to terrorism, affirming that extremists will never be allowed to destabilize Pakistan again. While chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad to assess the law and order situation, he praised the security forces for their relentless courage and sacrifice in confronting terrorism.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan’s economic resurgence is unsettling its enemies, who now seek to spread unrest. However, he assured that the state’s resolve remains unshaken and that the fight against terrorism will persist until complete peace is achieved.
He appreciated the coordinated efforts of provincial governments, federal agencies, and state institutions. “The synergy between the federation and the provinces in combating terrorism is a very encouraging sign,” he stated.
Shehbaz Sharif also announced full federal support to provinces in enhancing their counter-terrorism capabilities, stressing the need for mutual cooperation and unwavering national unity. He appealed to all stakeholders to set aside political and ideological differences for the greater good of Pakistan’s security.
He further directed an intensified crackdown on smuggling and human trafficking, calling for immediate accountability of those involved. To improve urban security, he instructed the fast-tracking of Safe City projects in major cities.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the National and Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center under NACTA has been successfully established. Additionally, a new forensic science agency has begun operations in Islamabad, with the Punjab facility undergoing significant upgrades.
This renewed commitment signals a unified and aggressive stance against those who threaten Pakistan’s internal peace and stability.
