PM Shehbaz Sharif to Visit Russia for Key SCO Summit in November
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit Russia in November to participate in the upcoming meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government.
According to official sources, the SCO Prime Ministers’ Council will convene in Russia and will be attended by heads of government from all member states.
PM Shehbaz Sharif will address the summit on behalf of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic, trade, and investment partnerships within the region.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with the Russian leadership. These discussions will primarily focus on enhancing energy cooperation, expanding trade, and identifying new investment opportunities between Pakistan and Russia.
Both sides are also expected to explore collaboration in agriculture, science, and technology, with the aim of developing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Pakistan’s participation in the SCO meeting underscores Islamabad’s commitment to deepening its multilateral engagement and strengthening regional connectivity across Eurasia.
