PM Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Commitment to Progress on Constitution Day
On the occasion of Constitution Day (April 10), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to progress, prosperity, and national unity.
In his message, the prime minister said that Pakistan will continue its journey of development while holding its head high among the nations of the world. He emphasized that the Constitution of 1973 serves as a sacred contract between the state and its citizens, clearly defining their rights and responsibilities.
Sharif paid tribute to the framers of the Constitution, noting that its unanimous adoption on April 10, 1973, laid the foundation for a parliamentary democratic system and a strong institutional framework in Pakistan.
He further highlighted that the Constitution guarantees fundamental human rights to all citizens and provides a comprehensive legal framework to ensure their protection and implementation.
The prime minister described the Constitution as a symbol of federal unity, where all provinces and state institutions work together for national cohesion and economic progress.
He concluded by expressing gratitude to God for the blessings bestowed upon Pakistan and reiterated his confidence that the country will continue to move forward on the path of development and prosperity.
