PM Shehbaz Sharif Expresses Solidarity with Myanmar Amidst Earthquake Tragedy

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Embassy of Myanmar in Islamabad today, where he signed the condolence book opened in the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar. The earthquake, which led to a significant loss of life and widespread destruction, has left many in need of urgent humanitarian aid.

Upon arrival, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Myanmar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Wunna Han, who thanked him for his visit and appreciated the relief efforts Pakistan has provided to the people of Myanmar. Prime Minister Sharif expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Myanmar, emphasizing that Pakistan stood firmly by its neighbor in this time of tragedy.

In his statement, the Prime Minister conveyed, “We stand with Myanmar in this hour of grief and offer our full support to the people of Myanmar as they rebuild their lives and communities. Pakistan’s heart goes out to the victims, and we share in the sorrow of this terrible tragedy.”

He further praised the remarkable resilience and courage of the people of Myanmar, stating that their strength would lead them to recovery. He reassured the Ambassador that Pakistan would continue to assist Myanmar in its recovery and rebuilding efforts, extending humanitarian relief where necessary.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the strong bond of friendship between the two nations, stressing that in difficult times, Pakistan’s support remains unwavering.
