PM Shehbaz Sharif: Economic Growth Impossible Without Industrial Development

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has highlighted that economic growth, job creation, and income increase are not possible without industrial development. Speaking at the first review meeting of the private-sector committee on industrial development, chaired by the Prime Minister himself, he welcomed the recommendations presented by industry experts.

“The ease of doing business and increased investment are top priorities for the government,” the Prime Minister said. He added that proposals prepared by the private sector to enhance industrial growth are commendable and will be carefully reviewed for implementation.

PM Sharif praised the business community for supporting government policies during challenging times and contributing to overcoming economic crises. “With Allah’s grace, the country’s economic direction is improving, but more effort is needed to achieve sustained growth,” he said.

The meeting included federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Jam Kamal Khan, Ahad Khan Cheema, Ali Pervez Malik, Special Advisor Muhammad Ali, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kiani, Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar, and Saqib Shirazi, along with members of the industrial working group. Policy recommendations to boost Pakistan’s industrial competitiveness and investment were also discussed, including regional comparisons with neighboring countries.

The Prime Minister directed that new proposals and recommendations be incorporated into the national policy framework to further strengthen industrial development in Pakistan.
