Petrol and Diesel Prices Likely to Drop from September 1

A slight relief in petroleum product prices is expected from September 1. According to sources, petrol may become cheaper by Rs 0.61 per liter, while high-speed diesel is expected to see a reduction of Rs 3.13 per liter for the next 15 days.

Similarly, the price of kerosene oil may drop by Rs 1.57 per liter and light diesel oil by Rs 2.61 per liter.
OGRA will send its working to the Finance Division tonight through the Petroleum Ministry. The Finance Ministry, after consultation with the Prime Minister, will issue the final notification of revised prices.
