Pakistan’s Revolutionary Step: Hyperspectral Satellite to Be Launched in October 2025

Pakistan is set to take a groundbreaking step with the launch of its advanced hyperspectral satellite in October 2025, developed under the leadership of the national space agency SUPARCO.
The satellite aims to support exploration of mineral resources, agricultural development, flood monitoring, glacier melting studies, and air pollution analysis.
Speaking at the inauguration of a workshop, SUPARCO Chairman Muhammad Yousaf Khan stated that the satellite will provide precise data on minerals, vegetation, soil, and water quality — reducing years-long surveys into a matter of days.
He added that this initiative will pave the way for sustainable use of natural resources and evidence-based policymaking, serving as a milestone for Pakistan’s economic and environmental development.
With this achievement, Pakistan is moving closer to becoming a regional hub of space technology.
