Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared a staff member of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad as “persona non grata” and ordered the individual to leave the country within 24 hours. According to the ministry, the official was involved in activities incompatible with their diplomatic status. The Indian Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Foreign Ministry and informed of this decision. Pakistan emphasized that all diplomats and staff at the Indian High Commission must adhere strictly to their diplomatic roles and avoid any misuse of their privileges.

This move comes a day after India expelled a Pakistani High Commission official in New Delhi, accusing them of engaging in activities not in keeping with their official status. These reciprocal expulsions mark the second such incident within a week, highlighting escalating diplomatic tensions between the two neighboring countries.
