Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and effective military diplomacy are gaining global recognition. In its latest report, The Diplomat revealed a major shift in U.S. strategic priorities, with Washington now leaning more towards Pakistan instead of India.

The report highlights that Pakistan has emerged as a critical partner for the U.S. in South Asia and the Middle East, particularly after recent Indo-Pak tensions that reshaped American assessments of regional military power.

According to The Diplomat, India is struggling to play the role of a net security provider, while its refusal to engage in dialogue has further strained ties with Washington. Pakistan, on the other hand, has consistently shown willingness for peace, despite India’s covert interventions in Balochistan and increasing hostilities.

The May 2025 standoff between India and Pakistan raised fears of nuclear escalation, but U.S. mediation prevented a major conflict. The episode demonstrated Pakistan’s growing strategic importance and diplomatic strength on the global stage.
