Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, made a firm statement on Thursday, declaring that Pakistan’s demand from Afghanistan is “clear, lawful, and non-negotiable.”
He emphasized that Afghanistan must ensure its soil is not used for terrorism against Pakistan, adding that Islamabad has presented undeniable evidence of cross-border attacks. Sanaullah urged Afghan authorities to “stop these activities and create a proper mechanism” to prevent militant infiltration.
Despite the tough tone, Sanaullah called Afghanistan a “brotherly Islamic nation,” recalling Pakistan’s decades of support for Afghan refugees. However, he criticized the current rulers in Kabul, calling them “Fitna al-Khawarij” influenced by India. He claimed that “India is inciting and funding anti-Pakistan activities” from Afghan territory.
Warning of strong retaliation, he asserted that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation and hinted that the government may establish a “buffer zone” along the border if needed to ensure national security.
“If Afghanistan doesn’t take responsibility for border security, Pakistan will secure this guarantee itself,” he concluded.
