The Government of Pakistan has announced a significant initiative to establish over 250 E-Rozgar centers across the country, aiming to support and empower the skilled youth in smaller cities with digital opportunities. This development, reported by ARY News, marks a major step in enhancing the IT sector and providing essential facilities to aspiring professionals.

The E-Rozgar centers will be strategically set up in every district of Pakistan, with the distribution based on the population of each province and data from 1.2 million freelancers registered with Ignite. Punjab will lead with 149 centers, followed by Sindh with 51, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 28, and other regions including Islamabad, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan with varying numbers of centers.

Initially launched by Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Punjab, the E-Rozgar centers have been recognized for their value and impact, offering affordable access to IT resources and office space for those who cannot afford high-cost setups. The initiative aims to further support the growing IT sector by providing young people with the tools and environment needed to thrive in the digital workforce.

The introduction of these centers is expected to greatly benefit millions of young individuals, fostering a new wave of digital entrepreneurs and professionals across Pakistan. This move highlights the government’s commitment to enhancing digital infrastructure and creating opportunities in the IT field.
