Pakistan Prepares to Welcome 80,000 Sikh Pilgrims for Baba Guru Nanak’s 555th Birthday

An important meeting was held at the Punjab Home Department to review the arrangements for Baba Guru Nanak’s 555th birth anniversary celebrations. The meeting was chaired by Punjab’s Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, with briefings provided by Secretary Home Affairs Noor ul Amin Mengal regarding the security preparations for the event.

Speaking at the meeting, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora announced that from November 14 to 23, more than 80,000 Sikh pilgrims from around the world will visit Punjab to participate in the celebrations. Pilgrims will visit key religious sites, including Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Hassan Abdal, Kartarpur, and Lahore.

The Minister emphasized the importance of creating a welcoming environment for the pilgrims, saying, “We must ensure that the pilgrims return with a positive impression of Pakistan, chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.”

The meeting also highlighted the comprehensive security measures and hospitality arrangements in place to ensure the safety and comfort of the visiting pilgrims.
