In a significant diplomatic engagement, Pakistan’s National Security Advisor (NSA), Lt. Gen. Asim Malik, and his Iranian counterpart, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, held a detailed telephonic conversation on Monday to discuss bilateral and regional issues.

The two sides explored avenues for enhancing mutual economic cooperation and addressing shared security concerns in the region. Lt. Gen. Malik lauded Iran’s “positive and stabilising role” and expressed Pakistan’s readiness to work closely with Tehran on issues of mutual interest.
