Pakistan Downed Rafales, Blocked Indian Airspace, Delhi Now Isolated: Ishaq Dar’s Strong Statement

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar strongly criticized India, stating that although the ceasefire along the Pakistan-India border is fully effective at the military level, India’s political leadership is unable to accept this reality.

Speaking at an event in the Malaysian capital, Dar said Pakistan has managed a successful economic lift-off despite challenges, and its next target is joining the G20 group of major economies.

He condemned India’s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, calling it reckless and provocative. “India cannot stop our water nor divert the natural flow of rivers,” Dar asserted.

He further revealed that after India’s escalatory behavior, Pakistan effectively responded by shutting down its airspace for Indian airlines and downing six Indian warplanes, including four advanced Rafale jets.

Dar added that at one point, the U.S. Secretary of State called him at 8:15 AM to say that India now wanted a ceasefire — even though it was India that initiated hostilities.

Commenting on regional policies, Dar criticized past decisions related to Afghanistan, stating that opening borders for terrorists and symbolic acts like “tea diplomacy” inflicted irreparable harm on Pakistan.
