Pakistan Denies Supplying Shaheen Missiles to Iran, Foreign Office Refutes False Reports

Foreign Office of Pakistan has categorically denied any truth in the claims that Pakistan is supplying Shaheen missiles to Iran. During a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated, “There is no truth in the reports suggesting that Pakistan is providing Shaheen missiles to Iran.”

The spokesperson also highlighted several other key topics during the briefing. She emphasized Pakistan’s continued diplomatic and humanitarian support for Palestine, particularly in light of the ongoing crisis. Baloch mentioned that Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister had participated in an extraordinary OIC meeting to address the situation in Palestine, urging the continuation of humanitarian aid.

Additionally, the spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, stressing the importance of maintaining diplomatic pressure on India. She also addressed the recent concerns regarding the defense cooperation bill in the U.S. Congress, expressing Pakistan’s reservations and the hope that it would not target friendly nations.

On the topic of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch affirmed the positive and longstanding relationship between the two countries. Pakistan extended congratulations to Bangladesh’s new Chief Advisor of the interim government, with the Pakistani High Commissioner attending the oath-taking ceremony.

Furthermore, the spokesperson confirmed ongoing communications with U.S. authorities regarding an incident involving a Pakistani individual in connection with former President Donald Trump. Pakistan is awaiting further details from the U.S. side.
