The Foreign Office has expressed deep concern over the recent shooting incident in the United States, calling it a tragic event and a sign of terrorism re-emerging on the global stage. During the weekly press briefing, the FO spokesperson stated that Pakistan condemns the attack and offers heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, including the slain U.S. service member.

The spokesperson added that the Washington shooting reflects the troubling resurgence of global terrorism and urged the international community to take concrete measures to curb terrorist activities originating from Afghanistan.

Commenting on the drone attack in Tajikistan that resulted in the deaths of three Chinese nationals, the spokesperson said the responsibility lies squarely on Afghanistan. “Afghanistan must ensure that its soil is not used for terrorism,” the FO representative emphasized, expressing condolences over the loss of Chinese lives.
