Pakistan Army Still Unshakable Against Bigger Enemy, Defence Minister
The central ceremony of Pakistan Defence Day was held at Jinnah Hall Fort in Sialkot, where Defence Minister Khawaja Asif performed the flag-changing ceremony of Hilal-e-Istaqlal. The event was attended by the Station Commander, members of the assembly, Deputy Commissioner, DPO, police, Rescue 1122, and civil defense volunteers, who presented a salute to the national flag.
Addressing the ceremony, the Defence Minister said that even 60 years after the 1965 war, Pakistan crushed the pride of a much larger enemy. He stated that the Pakistan Army has made immense sacrifices for the defense of the nation and has become invincible due to the spirit of martyrdom. He added that the Army is playing a crucial role not only on the geographical front but also in diplomacy and economy.
Khawaja Asif emphasized that today is a day of renewed commitment, urging all to rise above personal interests for the progress and prosperity of the country. The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony in celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ.
