Pakistan’s security forces foiled a major infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing four terrorists, including a high-value Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander, during an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur.

According to ISPR, the operation targeted militants attempting to enter Pakistan from Afghan territory. Among the slain was Amjad, deputy to external commander Noor Wali and a key figure in the India-backed group Fitnah al-Khawarij. He carried a bounty of Rs 5 million and was one of the most wanted terrorists operating from Afghanistan.

The ISPR confirmed that Amjad was directly involved in multiple terrorist activities in Pakistan and was using Afghan soil as a safe haven. The statement urged Afghan interim authorities to take decisive action to prevent such cross-border terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operation, commending their professionalism in eliminating a key threat to Pakistan’s peace. He reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety of citizens.
