Pak-US Tech Conference Secures $20M in Initial Investments
The Pakistan-US Tech Investment Conference held in California has resulted in over $20 million in initial agreements, primarily led by Pakistani-American entrepreneurs. Organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles, the event connected IT companies, venture capitalists, and innovators, aiming to foster bilateral collaboration.
Pakistan’s Minister for IT, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, emphasized the government’s commitment to growing the IT sector, targeting $25 billion in IT exports. Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh encouraged US businesses to explore Pakistan’s vibrant market and overcome misconceptions, presenting the country as a promising investment destination.
The conference showcased breakthroughs in AI, fintech, health tech, e-commerce, and software development, featuring 11 Pakistani startups. Strategic discussions focused on creating an investor-friendly environment, addressing connectivity challenges, and driving job creation to unlock Pakistan’s global IT potential.
