Pahalgam Attack, Chidambaram’s Revelation Shakes Indian Narrative
Former Indian Home Minister P. Chidambaram has made a shocking revelation regarding the April 2025 Pahalgam attack, stating there is no concrete evidence linking Pakistan to the incident.
In an interview with Indian media, Chidambaram questioned the government’s assumptions:
“Why is the government assuming — without proof — that the attackers came from Pakistan? If they did, where is the evidence?”
He further stated that no attacker has been identified or arrested so far, and the investigation remains incomplete even after three months.
The attack, which killed 26 people in the tourist region of Pahalgam, led to India launching “Operation Sindoor,” a military crackdown that has yet to yield results.
Chidambaram’s remarks have cast serious doubts on the Indian government’s allegations against Pakistan. Pakistan had not only condemned the attack but also offered full cooperation for transparent joint investigations. This disclosure may weaken India’s narrative on international forums.
