PAF Training Jet Crashes Near Vehari, Pilots Eject Safely

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) training aircraft crashed on Tuesday near the Ratta Tibba area of Vehari, Punjab, due to a technical fault encountered mid-flight. The jet was on a routine training mission when the malfunction occurred, forcing the pilots to eject.
Both pilots ejected safely and sustained minor injuries, according to PAF officials. The aircraft lost control in the air and crashed into agricultural fields near Luddan Road, damaging crops but causing no civilian casualties.
Locals reported hearing a loud explosion followed by rising smoke. “We saw the pilots parachuting down and ran to help them immediately,” said an eyewitness from the village.
Emergency response teams, along with district administration and security forces, reached the site shortly after the crash. The area was cordoned off to facilitate recovery operations and an official investigation into the incident.
The PAF has confirmed that a board of inquiry has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the malfunction.
