Over 8,000 Khawarij Terrorists Hiding Among Locals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sources Reveal

Official sources have revealed the alarming presence of over 8,000 Khawarij terrorists hiding among local populations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed stated that the province is fully aware of ongoing militant activities, with multiple terrorists killed in D.I. Khan, Lakki Marwat, Bajaur, Waziristan, Khyber, Bannu, and Dir. Over 190 operations were conducted last month, leading to 110 arrests.
According to reports, Bajaur and Khyber districts host more than 800 terrorists, most of whom entered Pakistan from Afghanistan through unmonitored routes. Officials admitted that militants’ presence in civilian areas makes counter-operations more challenging, often causing significant losses to security forces.
In a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, tribal elders voiced concerns over continued infiltration from Afghanistan and urged the government to raise the issue with Kabul.
Meanwhile, KP Information Adviser Barrister Dr. Saif stated that terrorists are indeed crossing over from Afghanistan, but the government and security forces are committed to defeating them.
