Our Mandate Was Stolen, Public Verdict Can’t Be Ignored Anymore, Fazlur Rehman

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, addressing the JUI peace march in Karachi, claimed that their mandate was stolen. He warned that it would no longer be acceptable for election results to go against the public will.

He said Pakistan is economically weak, inflation and unemployment are crushing the people, yet sacrifices are always demanded from the public. “We do not want to march to Islamabad, but the rulers’ attitude is forcing us,” Fazlur Rehman added.

The JUI-F chief highlighted that peace marches were also organized in Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing that spreading peace remains their manifesto.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said in a TV interview that the Pakistan-Saudi defense pact is not against any country. He clarified that if aggression is launched against any Arab state, they will jointly respond, and other Arab nations may also join the pact. He stressed that Pakistan’s defense capabilities will remain available for regional stability and peace.
