Nawaz Sharif Hails Policy Rate Cut, Says Business Confidence Restored

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has welcomed the recent reduction in the policy rate, stating that it has restored confidence among the business community. He made these remarks during a meeting with Punjab Assembly members from various districts, including Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rajanpur.

Nawaz Sharif emphasized that after a period of economic hardship, inflation has started to decrease and further reductions in prices will bring much-needed relief to the public. He highlighted that construction activity has resumed, which is a sign of improving economic conditions.

“Alhamdulillah, global financial institutions are recognizing the efforts of Shehbaz Sharif,” he said, appreciating the government’s economic policies.

Sharif also criticized the opposition, stating that their politics revolve around bitterness, envy, insults, and rudeness, instead of constructive solutions for national progress.

The meeting focused on discussing ways to accelerate economic recovery and provide relief to the public amid improving economic indicators.
