NAB Recovers Record Rs547 Billion in First Half of 2025

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) announced on Saturday an unprecedented recovery of more than Rs547 billion in the first six months of 2025, marking one of the highest recoveries in its history.
According to NAB’s latest performance report, movable and immovable assets worth Rs33.532 billion were handed over to federal and provincial departments, as well as financial institutions. A staggering Rs453 billion was recovered in the April–June quarter alone, significantly boosting the half-year total.
The bureau also returned billions to victims of various fraud cases. In the Eden case, Rs3.2 billion was distributed among 11,880 victims, while Rs3 billion from a major Rawalpindi cheating case benefited 17,214 individuals.
Major asset recoveries were made nationwide: NAB Lahore recovered eight properties worth Rs9.3 billion in the Pak Arab Housing case; NAB Rawalpindi handed over land worth Rs29 billion in Islamabad to the CDA; and NAB Sukkur reclaimed 127 kanals and 15 marlas of land for the Sindh Education and Literacy Department, along with land worth Rs25 billion for the National Highway Authority.
