Muslim Man’s House Demolished in India Over ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ Chant

A shocking incident of rising extremism has emerged from Maharashtra, India, where a Muslim man’s house was demolished after he was accused of chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during the Champions Trophy match between Pakistan and India.
The incident reportedly took place when the man was watching the match at home. A local individual accused him and his family of chanting pro-Pakistan slogans, which led to a mob of Hindu extremists attacking and demolishing his house.
This event is yet another example of growing intolerance and anti-Muslim sentiment in India, where similar cases of violence against minorities have been reported.
The Champions Trophy match between Pakistan and India was held in Dubai on February 23, in which India defeated Pakistan. However, the post-match scenario in India once again exposed the country’s deep-rooted religious biases and extremist tendencies.
