Most-Wanted Militant Commander Killed in Joint Security Operation in Karak

A joint targeted operation by security forces in Amberi Kalla, Karak, led to the elimination of a most-wanted commander belonging to a banned militant organization.

According to Express News, the operation was jointly conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, district police, and civil intelligence agencies. The encounter, which lasted over four hours, ended with the death of Nisar Hakim, a dangerous militant commander associated with cross-provincial terrorism networks.

During the intense exchange of fire, four police personnel sustained minor injuries, while weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist’s possession.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, praised the successful operation, commending the courage and dedication of the forces involved.

He stated:

“Our brave sons are sacrificing their lives to protect the people and ensure peace in the homeland. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police continue to stand as an iron wall against terrorism.”

The successful operation marks another major step in the ongoing campaign to eliminate remnants of militant networks from the province.
