Monsoon Alert, KP Braces for Torrential Rains and Flood Threat from July 20–25

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast heavy monsoon rains accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from July 20 to 25. The new weather system, enhanced by incoming western winds, is expected to intensify the rain and increase the risk of flash floods and landslides.
Districts likely to be affected include Swat, Chitral, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Bannu, D.I. Khan, Tank, and both North and South Waziristan.
In response, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued alerts to all Deputy Commissioners, instructing them to ensure emergency preparedness and public safety measures. Citizens and tourists are advised to avoid travel to vulnerable areas and follow safety instructions.
