Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the government has shared concrete evidence with Kabul showing that militants based in Afghanistan are being trained there before launching attacks inside Pakistan.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Naqvi confirmed that a suicide blast occurred at 12:39 PM, leaving 12 people martyred and 27 injured. He said the Prime Minister had ordered immediate medical aid for the injured.

Naqvi revealed that the attacker had initially planned to enter the local court premises but, failing to do so, targeted a police vehicle instead. “Our first priority is to identify the suicide bomber,” he added.

Referring to another incident, Naqvi said that a suicide attack in Wana also bore links to Afghanistan, with communication traces confirming cross-border involvement.

The minister warned that Pakistan cannot remain silent if Afghan authorities fail to curb such militant activities. “We know what’s happening across the border, but let me be clear — there will be no compromise on Pakistan’s security,” Naqvi said.
